The program has enlisted the participation of 6 Hong Kong designers who have provided 6 furniture design briefs. These briefs will be assigned to 6 UK designer units and 12 groups of Hong Kong designers. These 12 groups consist of over 30 local aspiring designers, including design start-ups, young designers, and recent graduates. They will receive guidance from experienced Hong Kong designers and production mentors throughout the process.
Our client for this project is Miss Kai-yin Lo, a renowned international design historian, collector, and jewelry designer. Her jewelry designs are distinctive and symbolize the rich cultural heritage of China.

There is an old Chinese saying "Lifting massiveness as if it is mobile and flexible, and picking up lightness as if it is weighty and centered. This is the principle of treating objects." The cabinet is a tribute to Kai-yin Lo's jewelry pieces, an attempt to continue her fruitful understanding of the Chinese way of thinking. When the team created this cabinet, they were making an object, designing an event, and creating a moment. The beauty of the object becomes meaningful when it shares an intimate relationship with its owner.
